Hi, and welcome to 220A.  My office hours will be from 1:30 to 2:30 pm on Wednesdays.  I'll be using this website mostly to post R code and examples.

If you don't already have R, it's available on computers in the Rachev room, on most computers in the HSSB computer lab, and also freely available here. This will be the main environment used in the 220ABC series, so you should become familiar with it as quickly as possible.  A useful 'cheat sheet' is available here, as well as some examples here (note that some of the later examples use GTK+, which may not be installed on your computer; it's pretty large, so I recommend against installing it unless you know what it is and know you'll use it later).
