Here is a copy of "Chance and Luck" by Richard Proctor. It was published in 1887 -- before the time in which most of the probability space framework that we've been looking at was developed -- so it is a bit dated (and a bit rambling, and a bit heavy-handed on the moralizing...) but it could be fun to read for historical reasons if nothing else. I'd start with the "Fair and Unfair Wagers" section (page 44 of the PDF).
